Caldrin Construction provides onsite sewage system design and installation services throughout Ontario, including rural communities outside the Greater Toronto Area. Our services include new septic systems, septic tank installations and replacements, leaching beds, system upgrades, excavation, and associated sitework.

Caldrin holds qualifications with Ontario's Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) for onsite sewage system work and coordinates additional qualified professionals and trades as required by each project.

Septic work planned for the property and the approved design

From a new onsite sewage system to a tank replacement or leaching-bed upgrade, the right scope depends on site conditions, property use, capacity, and local approvals. Caldrin plans design and installation around the approved scope and coordinates additional qualified professionals and trades where required.

New onsite sewage systems

Design and install systems for new homes, rural properties, additions, and applicable commercial projects, including site preparation, tanks, components, distribution, and leaching beds.

Septic tank replacement

Review the existing system, access, and site constraints, then plan and install an approved tank replacement and associated connections with any additional qualified team members required.

Leaching beds and drainage fields

Plan new or replacement leaching beds, often called drainage fields, around the approved design, available land, soil conditions, setbacks, grading, and inspection requirements.

System upgrades and replacements

Assess and plan construction when an aging system needs an alteration, expansion, or complete replacement. The permitted scope is determined for the specific property.

Excavation, grading and sitework

Organize access, locates, excavation, bedding, backfill, grading, and site restoration with the installer and other project trades. See our excavation and site preparation service.

Permits and inspection coordination

Coordinate drawings, permit information and required inspections with the local authority and qualified practitioners. Work proceeds only with the applicable approvals.

A clear path from site review to handover

Review the property

Discuss property use, available records, access, existing system conditions and the reason for new or replacement work.

Design and approvals

Develop the system design using site information and coordinate the local permit process and any additional professional input required.

Plan and build

Plan installation, excavation, tank and leaching-bed construction, grading, inspections, and related trades in accordance with the approved design.

Review and document

Coordinate final review, required inspection records and the information the property owner needs for the completed work.

Serving properties throughout Ontario

Caldrin's septic service is available across Ontario, including rural communities outside the Greater Toronto Area. We serve residential and rural projects and applicable commercial properties, subject to the system design, local authority, and project requirements. We do not treat every property as the same installation.

Septic work can be part of a larger Design-Build or custom-home project, coordinated under General Contracting, or planned alongside concrete and foundation work. Those links describe related construction services, not a claim that they are required for every septic project.

Septic project questions

Do you work outside the GTA?

Yes. We provide septic design and installation services across Ontario, including rural areas. Availability, travel, and local requirements are confirmed for each property.

Who designs and installs the system?

Caldrin provides design and installation services and coordinates additional qualified professionals and trades where the project requires them. The responsible practitioners and applicable authorizations are confirmed before regulated work begins.

Will I need a permit?

Installation, alteration, extension or repair of an onsite sewage system generally requires a permit. The responsible local authority confirms the documents, approvals and inspections for your property.

Can only a tank or leaching bed be replaced?

That depends on the condition and design of the whole system, site constraints, and what the approving authority permits. We review the system before defining the construction scope.

Can you work on a commercial property?

For applicable commercial properties, yes. System capacity and discharge characteristics determine which regulatory route and specialist input apply; larger systems may require additional provincial approvals.

What should I send for a quotation?

Share the property location, intended use, existing system records or drawings if available, survey or site information, known issues, and your preferred timing. We can then identify the next review steps.
